A few readers ask me, to demonstrate how to update the Samsung Nexus S (I9020, I9023-T), to the latest version of Android 4.0.4. Well, guys its not that much difficult, if you want to install Android 4.0.4 on your Nexus S.
Here you would have to choices, if you are running stock Android 4.0.3 on your device there is separate tutorial for you, otherwise if you have any ROM with Clock Mode Recovery then follow the step by step guide to install Android 4.0.4 on your device:

STEP 1. To get started, first you need to download flashable ROM [Direct Link]
STEP 2. Once your download gets complete, go to your Settings>Wireless and Networks>USB Settings and select Mass Storage.
STEP 3. Now connect your Nexus S to PC and create a new folder(give it name) and paste the downloaded file.
STEP 4. Now here you need to Reboot your device into Recovery Mode
STEP 5. Now lets Wipe data/factory reset.
STEP 6. Now install .zip from SDcard and navigate through the folder where you have saved the .zip file and choose it.
STEP 7. Now Flash ROM.

Now comes to the point, if you have installed Stock Android 4.0.3 and want to update it to Android 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich. This tutorial is specifically for you, just follow the step by step instructions to update is successfully:
STEP 1. Download the Android File from Google Server [Direct Link], and you can rename it, if you want. Just like, update.zip
STEP 2. Now copy update.zip file into the Root of your SDcard.
STEP 3. Now Turn off your device, Now Hold Volume Up+Power Button, to boot into bootloader mode.
STEP 4. Now use your Volume up and down buttons to navigate and power button to select any options. Now Choose the Recovery.
STEP 5. After Recovery, you see a notice, just hold down the Power Button and hit the Volume up button.
STEP 6. Now from the Recovery Menu, select Update from SDcard, and select the file you have downloaded in step 1.
STEP 7. Now select Reboot System Now, option to reboot your device. Congrats you have successfully updated your Nexus S to Android 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich.
