Before we move ahead, I want to make it clear, that it is still not the official released of CWM Recovery by Koush, but it does not mean, it will not work, Hey Android guys, it’s not that, it’s been tested on many Nexus 7 (2013) device and is perfectly working without any error.
There are 2 ways to Install ClockworkMod Recovery on New Google Nexus 7 (2013), and I will definitely guide you through both methods, first we will try the Fastboot method and then if you have already installed TWRP Recovery device, then will proceed on that.
1. Fastboot Method
What do you need?
- Nexus 7 (2013) with Unlock Bootloader
- ClockworkMod Recovery 220.127.116.11 image
Instructions to Install ClockworkMod Recovery 6 on New Nexus 7 using Fastboot Method
Step 1. Make sure you have downloaded the CWM Recovery img file from the above link. It is recommended that, you rename the file to ‘clockworkmod.img’ for your ease.
Step 2. Now you need to boot your device into fastboot mode by holding the Power+Volume down buttons at the same time.
Step 3. Now you can connect your device to PC and open RUN from your START Menu, and locate the location of the file you have placed or copy its location.
Step 4. Once you have copied the file location, Now in the command window, type (without quotes) “cd C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Downloads”. Note that after cd I have given location of the file where i have placed it, you do it the same.
Step 5. Now to flash CWM Recovery, type the following commands:
fastboot flash recovery clockworkmod.img fastboot reboot-bootloader

Step 1. Make sure you have downloaded the CWW Recovery for your device and move/save it on your SD Card or device storage.
Step 2. Now after that Boot your device into Recovery Mode.
Step 3. From Recovery menu options, tap Install and choose the file you have saved on your device or SD Card.
