The internal hardware of Nexus 5 is based on  LG – or to be specific LG G2. While the exterior design is from Google. The G2 is somehow known for Software lag but Google can easily fix that with its outstanding Kitkat update.

With the light weight of 130g and soft touch plastic coating around the phone it produces enough friction to be balanced on the palm without sliding.

The front of Nexus 5 is loaded with 4.95-inch Full HD display, 442 ppi (potentially 4.97-inch), also a 1.3mp camera for video conferencing stuff and a light sensor.Where as the back contains a 8MP auto-focus camera with OIS(Optical Image Stabilization), and a bright flash light.

The dimension comaparasion with the Nexus 4(its predecessor) is as follows;Nexus 5 Vs Nexus 4 Dimensions Comparison

3.Memory: Launched with a 16Gb and 32Gb version and there is a slight price difference in them where as the RAM of 2GB stays the same in both models. There is a lack of external card support in the device which is quite annoying for many of the user and raters count it as a -CON.

4.Processors: The combination of CHIPSET: Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800—CPU: Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400—GPU: Adreno 330– gives it enough potential to stay faster with Apps, vibrant with colours and Lag free with Gaming. And that is why it stays second in the list of gaming droid phones;nexus-5-benchmark-645x480

5.Camera: With the primary camera offering 8 Mega pixels of lens capacity taking the high end 3264 x 2448 pixel snaps, with autofocus and optical image stabilization also,(LED flash,Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, photo sphere). It can also mantain to capture a video of 1080p@30fps that’s a ‘WoW’ for a smartphone. The front camera is 1.3Mp that’s ok for a video chat.

6.Operating System: Android 4.4 or to be frank KITKAT..

This bloat-free device filled with kitkat4.4 makes great combination to be lag free. Android 4.4 is lighter and faster than the previous (JB & ICS) due to which google itself says that even slower devices having 512MB ram will get the Kitkat upadte soon.
Tests states that Nexus 5 gives out standing results with 0% lagg issue compared to Nexus 4 running Jelly Bean. The competitors may build drastic hardware with extraordinary gpu, cpu and ram, but google will always be ahead due to the Android Developer company. The other changes Kitkat brought are -Better Google now integration,-A full screen reading Immersion, -NFC payments Enhancement, -Low power sensors with less battery Drain And ALOT MORE…

7.PRICE: This is the best part because google’s pricing strategy boosted the Nexus 5 sales. The 16GB variant costs £299 and the 32GB variant costs £339 directly from the  Google Play Store without any kind of contract. The competitors are stuck at the same step cause Samsungs Galaxy s4 stays £400, HTC One £480, Sony Xperia Z1 £500, and the iPhone 5S at £549.
